We are the Mizuchi Kan dojo, we have setup our dojo to study in a traditional Japanese manner.

Our dojo is dedicated to preserving and teaching the ancient art of Ninjutsu, an invaluable martial art that emphasizes self-defense, agility, and mental acuity.

At Mizuchi-Kan, we offer a comprehensive curriculum taught by experienced instructors who are deeply passionate about the tradition and principles of Ninjutsu.

Whether you’re a beginner seeking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced practitioner looking to refine your skills, Mizuchi-Kan provides a supportive and welcoming environment for students of all levels.

Our classes focus not only on physical techniques but also on cultivating discipline, respect, and mindfulness.

We combine studying martial arts, spirit and mind. To compliment this we also hold Yoga sessions every Friday from 6pm till 7pm.

Mizuchi Kan dojo

Training is available on the following days;

Sundays from 7pm till 9pm at the Tollgate Hotel, Ripon Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST3 3BS – MARTIAL ARTS

Wednesday from 8pm till 10pm at the Barlaston and Tittensor Scout Hut, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent ST12 9DQ – MARTIAL ARTS

Fridays from 6pm till 7pm at the Tollgate Hotel, Ripon Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST3 3BS – YOGA SESSION

The myth behind the dojo name;

Mizuchi is a Japanese water dragon who serves as guardian spirit to those who hold great ambitions. Though they normally reside in the abysses of deep rivers, it is believed that upon their death they ascend to the heavens and transform into celestial dragons. True or not, this belief was so widespread in the Warring States period that many aspiring warriors fervently venerated the Mizuchi.

Mizuchi was a yellow dragon with a long lineage back to China and the yellow Emperor.

Our Kamidana is dedicated to the Mizuchi guardian spirit.

We are a traditional dojo, however we do embrace other martial arts and believe there is something to be learned from all.

We also focus on bringing peace to the warrior spirit and conditioning of the body.
